Tell a Chef or Farmer

There is a new event in town, called The Farmer & The Chef. The March of Dimes, The New Castle County Buy From Your Neighbor Program and The Delaware Department of Agriculture have all teamed up to present this new event in Delaware. The event is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, and all proceeds go directly to the March of Dimes. The event is scheduled for September 18th at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington. The premise of the event is simple, pair local farmers with local chefs. While I mentioned the event is a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, we are also helping to create those sustainable relationships between local farmers and chefs. The event also reinforces the movement of eating healthy.

The event itself will feature local farmers who will provide their product to chefs and the chefs will provide tasting samples to all the event attendees. The support for the event has been overwhelming both in the farming and the culinary communities. We think you should participate in the event.
