Founded in Victoria, B.C. in 1858, The Oppenheimer Group is a leading North American fresh produce distribution and marketing company. Oppenheimer sources over 100 varieties of fruits and vegetables from more than 25 countries and delivers them to retailers, wholesalers and foodservice operators across the U.S. and Canada, as well as export markets.

With its headquarters is in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada, Oppenheimer has over a dozen offices throughout North and South America. It is a privately-held company with roughly 250 employees and approximately 40 million boxes passing through its inventory annually.

Relationships with growers around the world enable the full-service marketer to supply preferred produce items, including apples, pears, kiwifruit, grapes, pineapple, citrus, mangoes, berries, stone fruit (cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, etc.), avocados and greenhouse-grown vegetables all year long.

In the process of delivering fresh, nutritious, great-tasting produce into the market safely and efficiently, Oppenheimer manages every step of the supply chain. Starting at the beginning by consulting with growers on preferred varieties, Oppenheimer adds value along the way through its packaging, food safety, logistics, quality assurance, and sales and marketing expertise.

While we are an international marketing company, we have roots right here in the neighbourhood. Our Delaware office has brought hundreds of millions of boxes of produce through the Ports of Wilmington and Philadelphia, among others, over the last 25 years. We proudly market produce grown “just down the road,” including blueberries from New Jersey and North Carolina, and cranberries from Massachusetts, in addition the assortment from our global grower family that keeps your fruit basket fresh when local produce is no longer in season.
