Excess Acres

While farming wasn’t new to Wally Gott who grew up working on the family farms in Bear Karen was a green horn who quickly learned where to stand to keep from getting kicked. They have two boys who grew up helping their great-aunt and uncle, Bill and Sylvia Walther on the original family farm. As their passion for cattle grew the boys started showing beef in 4-H which lead to their purchasing Excess Acres in Middletown in March of 2001. They started out by purchasing registered Angus cows and a bull. Working in conjunction with the Walther’s they have built up a loyal customer base for natural Angus beef.
